Discovering the History of Crown Heights
Several years ago, we embarked on a project dedicated to uncovering the rich history of Crown Heights. Crown Heights was built between 1903 and 1932. This project delves into the stories behind the neighborhood’s architecture, the architects who shaped it, the blocks that define it, and the people who have called Crown Heights home throughout the years. Our focus is primarily on Crown Heights South—what we refer to as Crown Heights.
(Crown Heights North which is north of Eastern Parkway towards Atlantic is another extremely beautiful neighborhood and a portion of it was land marked.)

Additionally, if you have any photographs of Crown Heights, particularly those predating 1970, they would be tremendously helpful to our research. We may be able to arrange a pick up and scan any photos you wish to share, ensuring that these pieces of history are preserved for future generations.
